Campaign office now open at Camden

Saturday, 16 April 2016

Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor is pleased to announce the official opening of a campaign office at Camden today.

Located at Suite 2A/190 Argyle Street at Camden, the office will be operational from Monday 18 April 2016, with constituents of Hume electorate welcome to drop in.

“It’s fantastic to have a campaign office established here at Camden to service the northern areas of the ‘new look’ Hume electorate in the lead up to the Federal election.” Mr Taylor said.

“It’s a recognition of the importance of this area to the electorate of Hume and the growth prospects of this area. A lot is happening here, we know we need to continue to invest heavily in infrastructure and alleviate some of the growing pains we have seen in this region.

Mr Taylor said it is a privilege to have the opportunity to represent parts of Camden, Liverpool and Penrith local government areas as a result of the NSW Federal re-distribution.

The boundary changes means the Hume electorate now spans from the Luddenham and Wallacia, along the Northern and Narellan Roads in Camden, through to Boorowa in the southern tablelands.

“The electorate of Hume is bigger than over 100 countries, so having a physical presence in both the North and the South of the electorate is important.

“I chose to locate the campaign office at Camden because it is the geographic centre of the northern areas.

“It’s very exciting to have a permanent office here and I’m looking forward to working with the people of Camden, Narellan, Mount Annan and elsewhere. I welcome constituents to get in touch with me about issues that are important to them and I will be available for meetings by appointment.”

The Camden campaign office will be open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. For more information visit www.angustaylor.com.au or email Angus at angus.taylor.mp@aph.gov.au
