The Australian Government has provided funding to local community projects in Goulburn and Upper Lachlan under the Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grants program, with projects to receive $2.7 million in support.

Local ex-service and community organisations are encouraged to apply for a share in $3.5 million for commemorative projects through the latest round of the Saluting Their Service grants program, which is now open. 

Eligible groups and organisations in Hume are invited to submit expressions of interest for an Australian Government grant to plant trees in honour of the legacy of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II and her 70 years of service to Australia and the Commonwealth. 

Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor has welcomed news the Royal Botanic Gardens at Mount Annan will receive $250,000 to improve security onsite.
