Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor has warmly welcomed Wendy Tuckerman as the Liberal Party’s candidate for the seat of Goulburn in the NSW election. Mr Taylor said Wendy would bring to the campaign a strong knowledge of and love for the region.

Work is in full swing on building a new interchange at the intersection of The Northern Road and Bringelly Road at Bringelly, with a major concrete pour scheduled to begin today to support the structure.

St Mary’s School at Crookwell will undertake a major building program in the new year after receiving a Federal funding grant of $417,000. Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor visited St Mary’s this week to share the news, with the funding to be made available under the Capital Grants Program.

Crookwell will receive a boost for tourists and locals with the official opening today of a new public toilet block in Clifton Park.

This week’s Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook confirms the strength of the Australian economy and that the budget will return to surplus. Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor said the Government had made real progress in strengthening the economy.

Older men have taken up the offer to have a cup of tea with Angus and vent their spleen. Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor hosted coffee catch-ups in Camden and Goulburn this week, telling older supporters they were needed to help win the next election for the Coalition.

Construction of the new $2.5m Rocky Hill Museum will begin in January 2019. The project has been jointly funded by Goulburn Mulwaree Council and the Federal Government, with a $1.25m grant received through the Building Better Regions Fund.

Buxton residents have welcomed the switch-on of a new Federally-funded mobile phone tower near the Rural Fire Service shed.
