More bridges across our region could soon be upgraded or replaced, thanks to a further investment of $40 million from the Liberal and Nationals Government under the Bridges Renewal Program (BRP).    

After last week's flooding, disaster assistance is now available in 12 additional Local Government Areas (LGAs) across NSW, including Goulburn Mulwaree.     

Assistance is provided through the jointly-funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).      

Regional and rural sporting events are set to benefit from the Morrison Government’s Regional Sport Events Fund.

Now open for applications, the fund will support community sporting events across the region to kick-start the economy and encourage visitors back to the regions. 

Grants of $1 million have been made to an additional 28 flood impacted councils, bringing the total amount of financial support provided to councils to $45 million.

 

From today, financial help will be extended to residents in Camden, Wollondilly and Wingecarribee impacted by the current flooding disaster.  

The Commonwealth Government has activated the Disaster Recovery Payment and the Disaster Recovery Allowance to support communities in these regions.  

The Morrison Government continues to support the recovery of the arts and entertainment sector with $85,000 awarded to Narellan’s United Cinemas under the second round of the $20 million Supporting Cinemas’ Retention Endurance and Enhancement of Neighbourhoods (SCREEN) Fund.

The Australian Government has provided funding to local community projects in Wollondilly and the Southern Highlands under the Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grants program, with projects to receive $6.4 million in support.

Local ex-service and community organisations are encouraged to apply for a share in $3.5 million for commemorative projects through the latest round of the Saluting Their Service grants program, which is now open.
