Hume electorate offices have reopened for business and are welcoming inquiries from constituents.

Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor today (Monday) received a handover of keys to the Auburn Street office in Goulburn from former MP Alby Schultz.

“It’s official. The doors are now open to our electorate offices in Goulburn and Cowra. I am occupying the same offices used by Alby, at 191 Auburn Street in Goulburn and at 36 Kendal Street in Cowra and I am also available to meet people in the Parliament House office in Canberra,” Mr Taylor said.

“It has been three weeks since the poll was officially declared for Hume and I am still finalising staffing and office infrastructure. We are waiting for additional information and permissions through the parliamentary staffing system, but we are now available to handle constituent matters from this week.

“I will be publishing a timetable of my upcoming visits to towns across the electorate so that people keen to speak in person about local issues know well in advance when we can catch up in their local area. In the meantime I can be contacted on the toll free number 1300 301 826 or please send me an email to Angus.Taylor.MP@aph.gov.au .”

Mr Schultz said the handing over of the keys was a symbolic gesture. “I was pleased to come across today to help with the reopening of the Goulburn office. The electorate offices in Goulburn and Cowra have been and will remain a vital line of communication between local communities and their local MP,” Mr Schultz said.
