Veteran health and wellbeing funding for Quest for Life
The Quest for Life Foundation in Bundanoon has received more than $44,000 in funding through the Supporting Younger Veterans grants program.
Federal Member for Hume said the funds would assist the foundation to ensure veterans and their families continue to get the support they need.
"This funding will specifically focus on providing a Moving Beyond Trauma Mental Health Program for veterans widows.
"This is much-needed support for widows of veterans to manage grief and associated PTSD and to ensure they can resume relationships with family, friends and the community.
"Congratulations to Quest for Life Bundanoon on the incredible services they provide to veterans and their families and the ongoing support they offer to the veteran community."
This year, the Supporting Younger Veterans grants program has supported 21 organisations to develop capability within the veteran community that services younger veterans and their families' unique needs.
Applications for the next round of Supporting Younger Veterans Grants are expected to be available in late 2021. For more information about available grants, visit the Community Grants Hub www.communitygrants.gov.au.
