Volunteer Grants announced - 12th August 2025
A total of 25 organisations have been awarded grants under the Australian Government’s 2024-25 Volunteer Grants Program.
$10 million dollars was made available to 151 electorates, with more than $66,000 of that allocated to the electorate of Hume.
Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor said these organisations would not exist without the support of local volunteers.
“They’re the ones that organise registration days, training sessions and presentation nights.
“They get enormous satisfaction from the work they do.
“I’m encouraging others to get involved,” Mr. Taylor said.
The recipients under the current electorate boundaries are as follows:
- Appin United Soccer Club $2000.
- Australian Breastfeeding Association Macarthur Region $2000.
- Buxton Community Association $1500
- Camden Bowling Club $1500
- Camden Rugby League Football Club $3000
- Rotary Club of Camden $3100
- Eventing Equestriad Australia $2300
- Macarthur Lions Club $2000
- Shining Stars $1600
- The Oaks JRLFC $1640
- Wallacia Progress Association $2500
- Wilton Warriors Football Club $4500
- Wollondilly Junior Australia Football Club $2400
- Wollondilly Pony Club $1800
- CWA Camden Branch $2500
- Southwest Rugby League Football Club $4000.
