Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor has warmly welcomed Wendy Tuckerman as the Liberal Party’s candidate for the seat of Goulburn in the NSW election. Mr Taylor said Wendy would bring to the campaign a strong knowledge of and love for the region.

“Wendy is a well-known, well-trusted representative. I am delighted to be supporting her in the months ahead and beyond,” Mr Taylor said.

“Wendy and I have a fantastic working relationship, developed over seven years in the district.

“We have worked together on many projects, including securing half a million dollars in Federal funding to build the long day care centre in Boorowa, which has provided a huge boost to the region’s economy.

“In a seat that stretches from Murrumbateman to Moss Vale and from Boorowa to Lake Bathurst, Wendy will bring enormous energy and passion to the campaign for Goulburn.

“She has demonstrated over many years and across many representative roles, that she is dedicated to improving our region and caring for our local communities.”

Mr Taylor urged the community to get behind such a well-respected community leader.

“I would also like to pay tribute to Pru Goward, who is retiring ahead of the next election.

“Pru has been an outstanding representative for the seat of Goulburn. I congratulate Pru on her many successes and wish her and David and their family all the best for the future.”
