Today is a tough day for the 3.5 million Australian families that have a mortgage.
 
The interest rate rise announced today by the Reserve Bank of Australia will hurt many Australians, who are already feeling the pain of rising prices.
 

I am humbled and honoured to be asked to serve as Shadow Treasurer by the Leader of the Opposition, Peter Dutton.  

My focus in this role will be on the aspirations of hardworking Australian families and businesses, particularly small businesses across the regions, the suburbs and the cities. 

Small and medium food and beverage manufacturers across Hume are receiving support from the Morrison Government to cut their energy costs so they can invest in their business, employ more locals and get ahead.

The Coalition Government will provide Country Universities Centre Goulburn with a further four years funding to ensure it will continue to offer students in Goulburn the opportunity to participate and succeed in furthering their education.

A re-elected Morrison Government will provide $400,000 to Camden Council to support clean-up and restoration activities along the Hawkesbury-Nepean River. 
 
“After the damage caused by the recent flood events, this investment will deliver action on the ground,” Mr Taylor said. 
 

Residents of Bullio and Canyonleigh in New South Wales will soon be better connected following a successful application for funding to maximise the existing network and ensure greater reliability and capacity under Round 2 of the Regional Connectivity Program.

Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor has welcomed further funding for upgrades and safety improvements to Silverdale Road. 
 
Over $6 million ($6,016,840) has been allocated to Silverdale Road under Round 4 of the Federal Government’s $200 million Local Roads Package (LRP).  
 

Upper Lachlan Shire Council's Emergency Operations Centre will receive funding to upgrade the facility under the Federal Government's Preparing Australian Communities Program.  

Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor has congratulated Exeter Tennis Club on successfully applying for $20,000 under the Stronger Communities Programme to upgrade their clubhouse. 

More communities in NSW impacted by the flooding disaster will have access to Commonwealth financial help from today, including Goulburn Mulwaree.

The Australian Government has activated the Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP) after the floods in March.
