The Federal Government is investing in the future of Hume with $3.7 million in funding for four projects under Round 5 of our highly successful Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF).  

Projects to receive funding include: 

The Morrison Government will continue to secure Australia’s economic recovery by expanding support to help apprentices finish their training, protecting the skills pipeline delivered under the government’s successful Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements program.

Second round applications have opened for a share of up to $2.9 million under the Networks to Build Drought Resilience program. 
  
The program will continue to support the community organisations, networks and infrastructure that help people and communities prepare for drought. 
  

The Mundoonen Rest Area on the Hume Highway will be upgraded to help combat driver fatigue and make travelling safer, thanks to funding under the Federal Government’s Driver Reviver Site Upgrade Program.

Individuals and organisations can apply for a share of $13 million in Australian Government Smart Farms Small Grants funding for activities to assist farmers and land managers improve their understanding and management of their soil. 
 

A global research collaboration being led out of Brownlow Hill is one of 10 innovative projects to share in $8.5 million in funding from the Morrison Government.  
 

The Federal Government is extending the closing date for the Black Summer Bushfire Recovery (BSBR) Grants to 6 October 2021, giving communities more time to apply. 

More than 100 new bushfire recovery projects have been selected to aid in the recovery of native wildlife and habitat in seven regions severely impacted by the Black Summer bushfires - part of a $14 million Morrison Government commitment. 

Community pharmacies in southwest Sydney and the Southern Highlands will join the COVID-19 vaccine rollout commencing next week.
